The Daytona 500 took place on Sunday as well. Dale Earnhardt Jr. took the win for the second time in ten years.  The race was delayed for six and a half hours due to rain delay.  Earnhardt’s Daytona win is the same competition where his father was killed in an accident in 2001 during the last lap. Earnhardt was quoted saying “Winning this race is the greatest feeling that you could feel in this sport besides accepting the trophy for the championship."
